We generally notice that it takes a few weeks for the children to “familiarise” themselves with each other and the environment, which shows up in different ways, including sniffles, more tired, irritable behavior, excited and singing a lot! Loads of different “adjustment” indications. One of the main ways we as parents and teachers can support the children to adjust to this “coming in” time, is to be gentle, calm, respectful, caring, relaxed, light hearted and playful. Sleep well, make sure your children have plenty, plenty of sleep! Loads of water to drink, and delightfully calm afternoons and evenings. SIMPLIFY.
Remembering that our children learn through example during these formative years, and being aware of what sort of example we are setting.
We do all we can to ensure the health and well being of your children while they are in our care by wiping their hands and faces with Thieves essential oil wash cloths as they arrive, serving them only the best food for their bodies, surrounding them with love, kindness, positive attitudes , play things which are embued with love and good thoughts, and being in good health ourselves, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Clear, responsible communication is an important part of health, to which we subscribe.
